"But you are a chosen people, a royal [tzedek] priesthood, a holy nation, Yah’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1 Peter 2:9
This IS the everlasting Royal Priesthood and NEW Order known as the Melchizedek Order.
"If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. For it is clear that our Messiah descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to Elohim." Heb. 7:11-18
HEBREW
What makes someone a Hebrew? Turning back to YHVH to obey Him and turn away from the pagan gods makes someone a Hebrew like Abraham.
ISRAELITE
Becoming mikvah’ed into Ye’shua and thus being grafted into Yah’s chosen people makes someone an Israelite.
MELCHIZEDEK
Rightly dividing the word of Truth to honor the work of Yah’s Son, our High Priest and King in the new Malki-Tsedeq Order and following Him helps someone understand that they are part of the new order (or Melchizedek Priesthood) under Ye’shua ha’Mashiach.
Melchizedek = Malki-tsedeq (King of righteousness)
The Hebrews new NOTHING about a Levitical priesthood at the base of Mt. Sinai. They WERE familiar with the Melchizedek Priesthood though. In Ex.19:6 we see that THE King of Righteousness (YHVH) mentions a special Priesthood mentioned,
“And unto Me you shall be a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words that you are to speak to the Israelites.”
And this intent is echoed in 1 Peter 2:9, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for Elohim’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
In Ps. 110:4 it says,
“YHVH has sworn and will not change His mind: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.” (Heb. 5:6,10; Heb. 6:20; 7:17, 21).
Therefore, the new order that Ye’shua is High Priest over is this “Order of Melchizedek” and if He is our High Priest and we are following Him doing whatever He asks, then logically speaking we are His Melchizedek priests and priestesses. There is no Levitical system or order anymore.
"For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and I will bring you back into your own land. I will also sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your impurities and all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Ruach ha'Kodesh within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances. Then you will live in the land that I gave your forefathers; you will be My people, and I will be your Elohim. I will save you from all your uncleanness." Ez.36:24-28
We believe that Salvation is legal transaction that takes a process. It starts with getting cleansed of our idols. Then we receive the new heart of flesh that is circumcised to YHVH through the indwelling of His Ruach ha'Kodesh. The Ruach ha'Kodesh then MOVES us to obey by writing Yah's Royal Everlasting Law of Love on our new hearts. Why? So that obedience (and not rebellion) will be our default.
Yah doesn't stop there. He has provided food for us to eat – the Bread of Life. It is through eating of Ye'shua, the Bread of Life that we become perfect like the Son.
All of this process is only available to us through the work of Ye'shua. His sacrifice allows for us to walk in happy to keep the demands of the Covenant. His Royal Covenant Law is found in Exodus 20:1-24:12.
We believe that keeping YHVH's Shabbats are a sign that we are in this Contract with Him for Eternal Life. You need this revelation so that you can LEARN, LIVE and then tell others the TRUTH. The Scripture testifies that something was done away with at the cross. The question is, what was done away with? What remains? What was the change that made this happen? And Who enacted this authorized change provided for in Torah? What does all this mean for us today?
